Holy God, Creator of all people of all nations, Today, we remember those who lost their lives in New York, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001.
We ask for the repose of the souls of all those who died that day: fire fighters; police officers; emergency service workers; Port Authority personnel; pilots, crewmembers, and passengers aboard the four highjacked airline flights; and the men and women who worked in the Twin Towers.
We pray for comfort and peace for all those who mourn the loss of their loved ones, and we pray for an end to hatred and violence in all its forms. Amen.
