Position Description: Assists with the governance and administration of the Diocese of Cheyenne. Serves as the principal ecclesiastical notary of the diocese and as a notary public. As the Diocesan Archivist, gathers, arranges, and safeguards the acts of the curia in the diocesan archives.
Qualifications: Working or practical knowledge of canon law concerning general norms, temporal goods, and procedures; excellent knowledge of diocesan and parochial canonical and civil structures; in-depth knowledge of Catholic religious principles and beliefs; managerial, supervisory, training, and performance evaluation skills; archivist skills (detail orientated and excellent record keeping, ensuring that accuracy and integrity of the Archives is maintained); excellent decision-making skills, the ability to cope with considerable stress, and the capacity to multi-task; excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; work well with clergy, diocesan advisory bodies, other diocesan personnel, parish personnel, and the public; work independently and determine priorities and direction, travel throughout the Diocese of Cheyenne; work cooperatively with other diocesan personnel; maintain strict confidentiality, discussing church business only with the person or persons necessary to carry out the assigned church interactions or responsibilities.
Degrees, Licenses, and Certification: Preferred Masters or Licentiate in Theology or Canon Law, an equivalent degree in a related field or equivalent training and experience. Background in business, administration, and personnel.

Position Description: The Executive Director of Communications is responsible for coordinating internal and external communications and public relations for the Diocese of Cheyenne, on behalf of the Bishop. The Executive Director manages and directs diocesan communication strategies and activities with both the general public and Catholics and does so consistent with diocesan policies, goals, and guidelines. In addition, this position includes the communication and oversight of the diocesan annual appeal.
Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and public communication skills; excellent writing and editing proficiencies and comprehensive knowledge of communication styles across diverse media platforms and audiences; work well with clergy, diocesan advisory bodies, other diocesan personnel, parish personnel, and the general public; collaborative style -- team builder with effective employee-relations skills; work independently and determine priorities and direction; excellent decision-making skills; the ability to cope with considerable stress and the capacity to multi-task; in-depth knowledge of Catholic theology and Catholic Social Teaching; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; maintain strict confidentiality, discussing church business only with the person(s) necessary to carry out assigned responsibilities; travel throughout the Diocese of Cheyenne.
Degrees, Licenses, and Certification: Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or English (emphasis in composition) required. Master’s degree in journalism, public relations, or communications preferred.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and/or willingness to pursue Professional Development for ministry; office collaboration - willing and able to support various tasks of the Parish Office as needed; familiarity with computer spreadsheets, word processing, and communication tools; understanding/familiarity with Hispanic and Anglo cultures, preferred; catechetical and/or teaching experience; excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; a sense of calling to Faith Formation Ministry or to serve the Church; in-depth knowledge of the Catholic faith; fully initiated, practicing Catholic free from any canonical penalties and of proven faith, good morals, and good reputation.
