During the Jubilee Year, the Diocese of Cheyenne is planning five days of retreat,
one in each deanery, and all are welcome to attend. The retreats will begin at 9 AM and close with Saturday evening anticipated Mass. Each retreat will be focused on a specific theme of hope. In the Bull for the Jubilee, Pope Francis identifies Ten Hopes to consider during the Jubilee:
Hope for peace over division Hope for enthusiasm for life and readiness to share it Hope for the openness to life and responsible parenthood Hope for prisoners through restorative justice Hope for the sick and those dedicated to their care Hope for youth and young adults Hope for migrants and refugees
Hope for the elderly Hope for the poor and the hungry
Hope for greater Christian unity
The first retreat will be February 15, 2025, in Hartmann Hall at the Cathedral of Saint Mary, Cheyenne, with the theme of hope for those who are sick, elderly, homebound, and hospitalized, as well as those dedicated to their care.

Vatican norms for Jubilee indulgence include pilgrimage, penance, service
For centuries a feature of Jubilee Year celebrations has been the indulgence, which the church describes as a remission of the temporal punishment a person is due for his or her sins.
In the document proclaiming the Holy Year, Pope Francis wrote: "Every sin 'leaves its mark' even after a person has received forgiveness and absolution through the sacrament of reconciliation. Sin has consequences, not only outwardly in the effects of the wrong we do, but also inwardly, inasmuch as 'every sin, even venial, entails an unhealthy attachment to creatures, which must be purified either here on earth, or after death, in the state called Purgatory."
